What Is Life Story Direct Work (LSDW) - PPF Model?
Life Story PPF is a powerful and practical model of Life Story Direct Work, created by expert Life Story therapists Laura Neal and Kim Matthews, the creators of the renowned Five Approaches to Life Story Work. Developed through years of working with hundreds of care-experienced children and young people, this model was designed to give social workers and social care practitioners the tools, structure, and confidence to deliver meaningful Life Story Work with impact and authenticity.
Born out of real-world experience, Life Story PPF emerged from a crucial realisation that not every child referred for Therapeutic Life Story Work needs therapy. Many simply needed structured life story support. Life Story PPF was created to fill that gap, offering a certified, hands-on approach that empowers practitioners to help children understand their past, connect with their present, and build hope for their future.
